Why tea figurines?
In Chinese culture, there is a tradition of decorating a tea party with small tea figurines called "chasen" or "tea god". Tea figurines are used to create in the tea space an atmosphere of a certain quality of attention on the tea process and the Taoist relaxation so necessary for proper tea drinking. Some even refer to them as the "guardians of the tea ceremony". They are also believed to bring happiness, wealth and prosperity.

In China, tea figurines are revered on par with pets. Despite the fact that it is just a ceramic product designed to decorate the tea board, the Chinese pay a lot of attention to such figurines and put their own meanings into them.

So in one family a dragon tea figurine can mean the energy of the sky and indicate the connection with the Tao (god), and in another - it is a talisman of the departed grandfather, reminding of him and preserving his wisdom. Therefore, tea figurines take part in every tea party and help people in their worldly affairs.
